Hi, I just joined Mylot after seeing a link on an irish parenting site and I'm just wondering are there many other Irish people about? Not that I have anything against chatting with people from all corners of the world :) I'm just asking out of interest really!
Cheers

Hello Irisheyes.....
The family settled in Canton, Massachusetts, about half way between Boston and Plymouth.
I've lived all over the country in, Mass, Maine, Pennsylvania, California, Oregon and now I'm in Nebraska.
What part of Ireland do you live in ? And what is it like there ?

Hello Irishangel......
Welcome to mylot.
I am an American, but my fathers parents were both born in Ireland. They both arrived here in about 1895 as young children, the two families arranged the marraige during the voyage. They were married in 1916 and had 11 boys and 1 girl. My dad was the third youngest.
It has been my lifelong dream to visit Ireland, still hope to someday.

I'm in Ireland. I'm a dual national: American by birth, Irish by naturalization.
