i love to eat pani puri. in mumbai it is called pani puri and in North India like in delhi all....it is called gol gappa, i just love that item. i can give up any thing to have them .wenever me and my hubby are out we make our day by eating them. the best part is that from the day i was married , i started my hunt tasting pani puri from every corner and atlast i found it.i just cant think of a place where people dont enjoy it or where i cant find them .
so my friends, i wanna know that how many of you enjoy it n from which place , i mean at every place they make it of a little different style n taste.

thanks a lot my friend.when i was very young i too use to enjoy the one people make on thelas. but now ,NONONO. now i m suffering from water infection. the day i entered Mumbai , the water here is sooooooooooooooooooo bad that my body , stomache just cant take it .every time i drink out , not mineral water, i sit holding my stomache. i m so sick of the water here.
so i stick to neat n clean place , atleast where i can see that the thing i m eating is good.

being a delhiite, golgappas are an intrinsic part of my diet...so much so that i even consider it as a major food group! theres no escaping this ubiquitous delicacy out here, every market you go to, every street you enter,it seems that it follows you everywhere and i,for one, am not complaining about being stalked! i just love the way its sharp taste assaults my senses, inundating my taste buds with an electrical tingling and ALWAYS leaves me craving for more. the way even a whiff of golgappas makes one's mouth water is simply amazing and pavlov would have been amazed at the sight of people salivating even when its NOT time for dinner! every time we hear the familiar sound of the thelawala banging against the steel tawa,my senses overwhelm me and i cant keep myself from rushing out to treat myself! i especially like to ask the theliwaala to mmake it a wee more spicier than normal.

pani puris are indeed delicious. but in the south, especially in kerala, you dont get to see them much. the ones which you get are just a poor imitation of the real stuff. so, i don't get to eat them here. but last year when i went to visit my sister at pune, i really enjoyed them.
i love the other chat items they dole out there too like sev puri, bhel puri etc.

Too bad I don't know this dish. Knowing your taste from your answers to my recipe posts I think we have a similar taste. So I'm sure I would love this dish too. What is this made of? Is it sweet or salty?
There is some Indian restaurants here in California so maybe they have it.
