If we were still under the British rule????/

I guess all Indians would know what i am talking abt ...after almost 50 yrs of independence now that we have acheived ...i jsut want to ask whether there is any improvement in the condition of our fellow Indians ...or what the great leaders like Mahatma Gandhi,Nehru did for us ..do you think all that is in vain for us....i mean we as Indians have understood the true meaning of independence..I want to ask u personally whether u would prefer British rule now or u think we have achieved the correct amount of freedom and independence...????
