Dhoni at No.3. Why is Virendra Sehwag still there?

With the World Cup just around the corner, the Indian team needs to figure out the best possible combination to win the big matches against teams like Austrailia and South Africa.
For this, they should try M S Dhoni at the third position on the batting order. He has already made two centuries while on that position.You may know that the highest wicketkeeer run is scored that place by him, 183* . Irfan Pathan should also be included in the line-up, that will give him much needed confidence. He should not be left out of the team.
And if Pathan is kept out due to poor performance, why is Virendra Sehwag still there?

Well in my opinion Dhoni and even Uthappa are very similar to Sehwag in their attacking cricket...but they will loose thier wicket when they take risks. But that is what they are in the team for. If they survive for about 20 overs from the start, India have already won half the game.

Thanks for the response.....I agree with your opinion but if risk cost them their wicket then it is not worth it...They may entertain for a while the ulimate goal is to win the match not to hit just 4's and 6's.....As it is necessary if we win the matches because of these 4's and 6's and it would be great for India cricket....

dhoni be at no.3 greatly motivate indian scorings.virendar sehwag is to be included in indian team due to his experience and professionalism in cricket.he was a good alrounder and he,may sometimes can use of his offspin.
sehwag,when at crease for 15 overs,sure that india will reach over 300.that is his magic.at westindies,hoping that he can do his best.we can all pray for his back of batting performances.

Thanks for your comment......We will really pray for bringing back the performance which he had 3years ago, when he won the test match for India still i cant forget the 309, he is first person to do so till date. If he restrict the short selection then it would be great for the country. Because each and every baller fear for sehwag when he is in full form and it necessary that soon he come to form. It will help India morale.

He is a class player and when he is in form he can destroy any kind of bowling attack. But the only problem with him is his consistency and I think if he is not consistent then he should not be picked for the World Cup. There should be some hard and fast rules for selection so that the players can understand their role in the team properly. I feel that if he is not informed than he should not be in the team I would rather play a youngster instead of a player who is not inform because the youngster will give his maximum for better performance.

Thanks for your response...... You have said it right my friend because of his inconsistent may have lost his place in the world cup team. But we can't ignore that fact that he is player plays for even a 10 over that would led india to a really good start then it would be ok for other to come and chip in. So as player is great so it is necessary the experience should not go waste so they might have picked him. And his partnership Robin is simply great.......

Your thinking is wright but if u've last match ind v\s SL then u must also have seen that sehwag was batting really well. he might have score Fifty If he wasn't out his lazyness.DHONI is a good option but when he scores 183 the opener was sehwag and already damaged the bowling line lengths,and our openers are batting well but when did they collapse no body knows.Also sehwag cant play in the middle order so well,but dhoni can.So i think that let the sehwag come at no.3.
