I haven't heard a thing about it, but it wouldn't surprise me if someone has thought about it. I loved Brokeback Mountain; I think that they did an excellent job of portraying homosexual attraction and LOVE and the problems that gays face as a result of the stigma and discrimination of society. I don't think that remaking the movie with women would add anything at all to the message; in fact, it might be stupid.

I would hope that a movie like that would not be made. It'd be overkill, to me. Not only that, it would make it seem like Brokeback Mountain is some magical mountain range that makes people fall in love or something like that. I would also hope that the original story and author of the novella (Annie Proulx) would be respected enough to leave it at what it is right now. One movie.
