Hey everyone, Just wondering since the new release of Windows Vista a couple weeks ago, how many of you actualy are using Vista?
Did you buy it or have you recently purchased a new computer.
I personaly haven't really gotten my hands on one or even tried to. What i say is that: Ill get it when i get a new computer. Because i am not willing to spend 100$ on software.
Anyways if you guys who own XP(like mE) want a taste of vista search on Google 'Windows XP Vista SideBar' Or something of the sort, and you will find a download that will get you a vista sidebar, for your XP :) I downloaded it but it wasn't really being used :P

My kids just bought me a new computer and it has Vista. So far seems to be working ok. Like the Mac commercial says, it does as a lot if I want to allow things to download or give out information, but that is ok with me since my last 2 computers crashed after I got viruses being on the internet.

Seems Great but i am still not entirely confident with Vista since it is new and as of Today XP still has bugs on it just less. Vista must have a huge amount of bugs on it?

I have been using XP for past sevral months and as far i ahve seen there are many versions of Vista been released...i guess vista is more of eye-candy to attract more users jsut has commercial outlook rather than truly innovative features which would truly improve the effeciency or cause the user to become user-friendly interface with the environment...anyways hope we continue with XP as far as i am concerned i am not that eager to go for Vista...

I have been testing windows vista for a while now at work.
As of now there are a lot of issues and bugs for compatible hardwares, also you cannot get the full fancy experiences unless you have a 128mb video card to run the "aero" features, which gives you 3d views of charts, graphics, and other fancy looking effects. There is a lot of improvement but most of it you could just download a 3rd party software for the same functions. I will likely hold out on vista for a while, until sp1 at least

Woow WIndows Vista.. what a hot subject i can say. I have talked a lot in my area with many of my friends and all of them had only positive thoughts about it. I can say that i was blow off by this new windows system. Some things certainly lack to it but this new look which Microsoft has incorporated in it certainly do the money you would give for it. I have waited this new system for 2 weeks and here i am using it. It was pretty hard for me to buy it because in my area it can't be found. So i had to ask a friend from another part of my country to order me. I am so happy using it and all i have are only words of gratitdue. I post here a short description about VISTA.
Windows Vista contains hundreds of new features; some of the most significant include an updated graphical user interface (GUI) and visual style dubbed Windows Aero, improved searching features, new multimedia creation tools such as Windows DVD Maker, and completely redesigned networking, audio, print, and display sub-systems. Vista also aims to increase the level of communication between machines on a home network using peer-to-peer technology, making it easier to share files and digital media between computers and devices. For developers, Vista includes version 3.0 of the .NET Framework out of the box. The .Net Framework makes it significantly easier for developers to write high-quality applications than with the traditional Windows API.
