Hi, I have been in the US for over six months now and one of the strange things that I have seen is that in many places the cost of a gallon of gasoline (petrol)is cheaper than a gallon of Milk. How could this happen? In my country it is the other way round.

Hi,
I cannot really help with this one since a live in Canada, but I find it quite interesting. But are your sure you notice the right prices??? If your right about your thing, well, I could explain by saying that in the US, they produce some of their own gasoline, like in Louisiana. Here in Canada, we have petrol in Alberta, but the prices can get very high for the gasoline. How do you find live in the US?

Thank you Julie, for the response. I am sure about the prices of Gas and Milk. That was one thing that I could not believe myself. There was a time when the Gas was less than two dollars and the milk always maitained its price around 2.40 $ - 2. 60 $. It was not a good sign for me. Except some things (I cant tell about all those things here, I might hurt someone's feelings) here I like this place. This is a great country. Anyway, I am going back to my country in May, 07...Happy abt that.
