This world can't go on without the opportunity of this communication or work available to this source of information and communication. It's same as you'll say economics will fail, it can't, internet goes hand in hand with economics, facilities/company's use it everyday, they can't go on without. The condition would be, that we'll go back into time some 15 years ago, cause there are very much new inventions from that are based on purpose for internet or community

lots of very confused unhappy people with lots of time on their hands and know idea how to take money out of a bank or do things in the real world because they do it always online.

If there would be no more internet, the main sector that would be affected will be the business sector. Economy will surely drop, as we have all been dependent on the internet. There won't be any easier or faster access to anything, and I don't know if the world would be able to recover easily. People would have to adjust to the conventional ways again, as the world's still trying to get it back on, or try to make certain adjustments. I hope this doesn't happen, as this world has been going towards globalization and technological advancement. It would be a major mishap.
