Buying a cell phone can be very complicated. I had a verizon cell phone once with a owners manuel that had over 80 pages.
And I only used about 1% of all the features it had.
My suggestion is that you go to this website:
http://www.ConsumersReport.org
They are very helpful when it comes to matters like this.

Hi Lloyd,
You're right, it is confusing!!! Bluetooth, or no bluetooth, wireless, PDA, camera, etc... Woosh, it's dizzying!
Great suggestion to check out Consumer Reports. It is an excellent resource. I also really value 'The man on the streets' opinions. So, if I really do my homework, I'll investigate both.
Oh, speaking of features that sound cool, but never get used ... what features ended up being the most important?

Good morning Smartbrain69, & thanks for your feedback!
Hmmm! The 'LG' is the one that comes in all the colors: like Chocolate and Lime Green, isn't it?
What features do you like/dislike about the 'LG'?
Is it set up with Bluetooth (or another wireless) configuration? If so, do you use the wireless feature?
And, how does it do in the presence of tall buildings, or mountains, as is my case?

Good morning Siddharth24x7, & thank you for your input!
Well, Ericsson has certainly been in the business of producing cell phones .... well, from the very beginning. One would think they know their business. I've never had an Ericsson phone. Perhaps you're right. I should look at the industry long-time manufacturers.
Trendy isn't really of great importance to me. Durability, speakerphone, and range are most important.
OK, so I'll investigate Ericsson as well. Thanks!

Hello ladyluna,
I don't know the best phone out their and I'm sure that most of these response that you have gotten are because that's the phones that they use. The best thing is to check out the link and I'm sure that you have. I just wanted say because I saw that you mentioned the Razor phone. I was going to purchase on last year when I heard that they were experiencing problems with the phones. I don't know if it's been cleared and I don't remember exactly what the issues were. I believe one was dropped calls, not because of your carrier but something to do with the phone. So just a heads up there.
Instead of the Razor, I ended up with a sidekick II and wish that I would have waited for the sidekick III to come out. Unfortunately it's just to expensive to go out and buy the new one just because. If I won the lottery tonight then maybe I will go shopping after all, LOL. Always new technology everyday, what we get today, is outdated, in a month. :)

Hi Beanie.
I narrowed the choice down to two, one of which was the razor, so I'll take your warning to heart. I'll take a look at the Sidekick. I really need to get on it with making this choice ... ugghh -- no more procrastinating on this. Thanks for the 'heads up'.

I have a kocyera candid and it is pretty outdated. I need a new phone too. My dream phone is the razor. The only thing stopping me is the price tag. To get a new razor through altell it would cost me almost $400. I really need a new one though mine has been dropped a bunch of times and barely works anymore.

Boy oh boy, can I relate ... my current Kyocera has 'doggie' tooth marks!.
I've been looking at the razor too. The price isn't going to be an issue for me because I'm due for a free phone, and the razor is one that I could get at no charge through Verizon.
I carry my digital camera in my purse, and phone cameras have smaller dpi, so other than the camera feature why are you leaning toward the razor?
