do you remember when playing outside til mom had to call you in for dinner was the 'in' thing? building forts and playing tag with the neighborhood kids? hardly ever being in the house at all? we didn't need cell phones...we played dodgeball and kickball i think my life as a child was so much better than kids have today...always inside worried about predators..no real freedom...i never see kids building forts anymore or neighborhoods playing games together..it's kinda sad...no wonder kids are growing up so fast...when are they really getting to be kids?

It is very sad. I liked being able to do all those things but now panick when I don't hear from my kids. My husband always reminds that I never called home while I was playing we just came home when it was time. I always come back with we don't live in that world anymore. It's hard for parents and sad for the children. I wish it was different for them

You have a point, but I believe that thing like this still exist, but only in younger children and very sparsely.
