Maiden or Metallica???

You can't compare aples with oranges....Maiden are the father of "New wave of British Heavy Metal" or the NWBHM. Metallica is one of the Big FOUR in thrash metal (other 3 are Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax). Oparatic Vocals of Dickinson can never be compared to the snarling Hertfeild. The catchy rythem of maiden can NOT be compared to the power riffs of Metallica. Comparing these two bands would be like comapring two religion. I'll definetly stay away from that!!! lml PS: No price for guessing that I lovr them BOTH!!

you asked a hard question.Although I love Metallica also,I would have to say I prefer Maiden. Metallica 's song writing is awesome but Maiden's is even better.Just look at Powerslave or Rhyme of the ancient mariner!(I have a bad time remembering titles so if i got that last one wrong please excuse) The last time i knew about it ,bruce dickinson was no longer with maiden but that is why I stopped following them. Bruce Dickinson had such a differnet ,distinct voice.I loved listening to him sing.

iron maiden is the best

Maiden kicks azz! Metallica not so much anymore. I've seen Iron Maiden back in 85', excellent show! metallica on the other hand, I seen them in 89' they were o.k. but Maiden has got Eddie. Eddie changed with every album. Peace!

I personally enjoy Iron Maiden more because of the variety in their songs. As stated before Metallica and Iron Maiden are completely different bands. They can truly not be compared. Metallica is about speed while Maiden is more about the melody. They are both absolutely amazing tho.

No doubt for me that is the kings of heavy metal...the Iron Maiden. The best of the best. The beast is the best off all times. Up the Irons \m/

Iron Maiden is one of the best metal band ever..They ruled in the 80's and they're still ruling the metal world nowadays..what most can be said for a group that has been a success for everything they made..Iron Maideb are GODS!!!! Up the Irons!!!!

Metallica's my favorite band of all time, and they're completely different from Iron Maiden (both past and present), so it's hard to compare them, but I think they both deserve the title of "Kings of F-ing Metal," although some of Metallica's albums haven't been as good as they used to be.

This is not a hard choice as I thought it would be.. Iron Maiden simply rocks.. hehe... no offense to Metallica fans.. and I'm not much a Metallica fan either... Prefer Megadeth over Metallica...Still Iron Maiden is the best ;)

Iron Maiden defenetly ! Metallica has been to burnt out , almost like Kiss. Too overplayed on the Radio and too much merchandising. Same of the same rythms. Iron Maiden is darker and greater in a sense of lyrics and the music is just dandy!

No contest on this one...Maiden rules! I also like Metallica but there is simply no comparison regarding stage productions and the voice of Dickinson! Not to mention the lyrical tales Maiden spins!
