This year for Comic Relief/Red Nose Day my 12 year old daughter is going to have her hair cut (which she has taken a few years to grow the length it is) quite short then have it dyed blonde with coloured tips. She has set herself a fund-raising goal of £50. She has until Friday the 16th of March to get sponsors and so far has 2 sponsors and £7 raised. Here is the address for her page... http://www.myrednoseday.com/personalPage.aspx?SID=178379 You can see a picture on her page of how long her hair is at the moment. I know there will be people that may think this is no biggie, but for an (almost) teenage girl that has spent a few years getting her hair to the length it is I think she is being extremely selfless to be doing this to help raise money for Comic Relief.

I will pass this on, she usually asks if there has been anymore replies to this discussion and I let her see what has been said. I didn't realise you were in Scotland too, now I know lol.

I wished I could sponsor her. I'm always fully behind these things and I love doing fund raisers myself. However I'm unable to send money over the internet as I ask my father to lend me is credit card to get things online. Sorry, I really admire you daughter for doing it. ~Joey P.s it reminds me of a teacher at my old school, who loved her hair and she saved it fully off and raised over 2000 pounds for charity. (not comic relief/ children in need) I think it went to leukaemia research.

No worries about not being able to sponsor her, I will pass on your good wish which I am sure she will appreciate. One of the reasons I posted this discussion was to show my daughter that I am proud of what she is doing and wanted to tell as many people as possible.
