ever get a dog from a shelter?

i got a dog from the local spca in may and it has to be the greatest thing i have ever done. i can't imagine my life without my dog. my only regrets are that i didnt get her earlier and that i couldnt adopt 10 more. let me know if you had as great an experience as i have had.
