Who would have thought that cinnamon would be so healthy, cheap and nutritious.
Cinnamon, ground
Although available throughout the year, the fragrant, sweet and warm taste of cinnamon is a perfect spice to use during the winter months.
Cinnamon has a long history both as a spice and as a medicine. It is the brown bark of the cinnamon tree, which is available in its dried tubular form known as a quill or as ground powder. The two varieties of cinnamon, Chinese and Ceylon, have similar flavor, however the cinnamon from Ceylon is slightly sweeter, more refined and more difficult to find in local markets.
A young friend introduced me to the wonders of cinnamon.
It relaxes you, helps you to sleep, helps to lower your cholesterol and blood sugar, thins the blood.
DO NOT stop any medication that your doctor has prescribed
DO NOT take if you allergic to Cinnamon
It is a spice, follow the instructions and if you are made unwell by taking it stop immediately.
If pregnant or suffering any medical condition at all consult your doctor. I am not responsible for the consumption of cinnamon I am just telling you what it has done for me and my family.

Thank you I don't think we can go far wrong if the World Health Organisation advocates its qualities. :)

My mom has diabetes. Whenever she doesn't have access to her medication, but has something cinnamon around, she takes that and it really helps control her blood sugar for the time being.

Cinnamon is my favourite spice, a wonderful fragrance and taste. I use cinnamon sticks in hot chocolate at night to help me sleep.

Yes, I recently read about cinnamon helping with blood-sugar levels. Very interesting!! I'd be interested in more information about how much, how often to use.
