"You're beautiful/handsome!!"

When this has happened to me i used to get embarrassed and shy away. I now try to say thankyou and not get embarrassed, i definetly have trouble accepting praise expecially about how i look but im trying to take it better.

I generally just smile. However, it depends on who it comes from as well. If the person, the giver, is one who I know has low or generic standards of beauty, then I just say, "whatever." If the person is one that I know has high standards in good taste, then I say, "thanks for noticing."

I'm like you are, I mean, i may think that I'm pretty personally, but for someone else to say it somehow takes me aback... Kinda shocks me in a way... I don't know how to take it, and i don't know if i ever will. I guess it's just one of those things in a person's life that makes them sit back in their chair and go 'woah' haha, I can't say that i don't enjoy people saying things like that to me though, it's nice... One just never seems to know how to react.
