I was wondering if anyone here has their own errand running business or personal concierge? This is a field I began looking into as a way to have a fun home based business. However, it seems that prices vary widely and when I sat down to create my list of services and pricing I was quite intimidated. A review of other sites seem to have their prices hidden or they want you to call for a consultation but the general gist was anywhere between 12-40 dollars an hour. Some had memberships and some charged you for each service. I would love to get feedback from people who are already doing this successfully.

I never have set up an errand running business before, but that might be a great idea though. Even though the economy is not so great in perspective right now, but you can still innovate something into an enterprise idea right? Don't be afraid to try, it is matter of how you going to manage it, and make a difference to others. If you can start as personal errand running business for your neighborhood, you might already create your customer base. When the good words spread out, you will get more businesses later on.

I don't have experience to share with you but I thought I would respond anyway because this is a business that interests me a lot. I stopped working full time about a year and a half ago because my long work hours were not conducive to raising my child (and luckily my husband was willing to take on the majority of the bills and living expenses). I have gotten some part time work since, but I really toyed with opening this kind of business for myself, and I'm still very interested in doing it.
I think it could be effective to have different, lower, rates for a subscription service, in exchange for the promise of ongoing business.
I wish you great luck with this, and maybe I'll start doing it too!
