I recyle everything that's possible. I take bottles and glass to the bottle bank and I use a canvas shopping bag instead of plastic bags. I sort my trash into household trash and recyling trash. I have a website that is dedicated to recycling which is run by myself and my daughter. People can use it give away their unwanted goods or even sell or swap them. They can also ask for goods that people might no longer need. So far it is going quite well and we get approximately 5-10 new mambers daily.

when my children were little, i used cloth diapers more than plastic. i think this is a huge problem! i wonder how many thousands of diapers are just laying under the ground? they say it takes over 10 years to disinigrate. It also saves so much more money than to buy plastic all the time. if every mom used cloth one day a week, it could save years of garbage!

i see it from my home. our daily works are responsible for global warming. Recently, scientists of the Harvard University discovered that one of the five ice-beds of the North Pole has been disintegrated drastically within past one year. This fact was never noticed until last week of November 2006. It has also been noticed that this big ice-bed is now floating on the North Sea. This floated ice-bed can now start approaching down towards the north boundary of Canada. Scientists are trying to keep an eye on the movement of this ice-bed. Satellites are helping in this regard by sending continuous pictures and data of this ice-bed. The most worried part of this incident, apart from the Global Warming, is that if by any chance this ice object reaches near to the border of Canada, it may create a great problem for the ships which are regularly traveling near the border of Canada. There is a good article in AC. Just read that. You will understand we have something to do to prevent Global Warming. http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/156681/how_to_prevent_global_warming.html

I'm sorry to say that I do too few things to contribute -you've reminded us that we all can do more. Recently our town enforced recycling and have distributed garbage cans and recycle cans that we have to use, so I'm a little more aware lately.

I try to do as much as i can. i try to use as little power as possible. I recycle. I do not shop for new things and throw away my old stuff. Is is amazing how good some old pieces of furniture may look after some loving care. i buy ecological products. I try to limit driving to a minimum. i will do whatever I am informed will help. i believe the little things we each do contributes a lot. We all have to be responsible in this situation.
