As most of you know my Mum and Dad both have Alzheimer's and my youngest son was born with Cerebral Palsy , It had been a bad morning for them and I needed to relax a bit and the PC was down so I locked out a Camcorder tape from my eldest sons wedding 22 years ago, My hubby had just come out of hospital after his first heart attach , he has just gone through a triple bypass op and is now doing great .My Mam and Dad looked so young and healthy , and Ross was so weak and unsteady on his feet and he drooled all the time he was 5 at the time , He is now 6ft tall and he has a college degree and is doing a Ba and a BSc in open university , So many of the people in the video are long gone and I just sat and cried , I cried because I was so proud of Ross , I cried because I saw so much of a difference in Mam and Dad and I cried for the people who are gone , and I realised what a lucky woman I am to still have my family , I think it did me good to have that cry xxxx

Yes Weemam it is good to cry. I do it at times to when I remember things, like when I used to go to work every Day, when my Kids where little and I was always there with them, I know there are People a lot worse of then me Health wise but I do still cry because at 45 and for 3 years I have been like this now, I don't want to be like this, I want to be the Healthy, active, working Person that I was 5 years ago. I cry when I remember that my Grandmother warned of about getting married to the Ex and we didn't talk for a long time, but she was right. I cry when I remember that she sent me the money to go and see her and shortly after she passed away and it was 2 Days before my Birthday. And there is many more things, so Weemam it is ok to cry, we all need to at times. I just wish I could have been there and given you my Shoulders to cry on and hug you. Big Hugs to you .

As many have already said yes it's good to cry for many reasons. Crying helps us to heal, releases stress/tension, it also can be because were happy. Yes you have many things to be thankful for and I'm glad that you realize that. You sound like you have had a rough couple of years. I commend you on what you are going through in your life, you always seem so upbeat here and have such positive things to say to others. I hope that you feel that you received some positive feed back from all of us today and that it helps to keep you strong. You have many friends here that will give you words of comfort in any rough situation that you may go through. I hope that you know that you can always come here when things are rough to get those words of encouragement to keep you going. May god smile upon you in all of your times of need. :)

Absolutley! A good cry allows one to release any hostility and regreats and make room for the good that is to come! It also allows us to see the good in everything and feel that pain that we feel. All steps to healing. Take care and remember to smile!

Yes, Crying really helps us to relieve all the pains inside of us. It can lessen the burden and it can make you feel good afterwards. Always bear in your mind that God will never give us problems that we cannot handle. Now, you will realize that all those problems that you have encountered, made you stronger each day. Now, God made you realized that you should still be happy because you still have your family. God bless you...

i think it is good to cry. keeping your emotions pent up wont do u any good. if a person cries it gives an outlet to emotions and then one can think better. but i feel cryin gshould be under control. one should keep a check not to go on and on in self pity. if it is to relieve stress it is good, if it is for self pity it is bad.

I think sometimes it's good to sit and cry. It's a good way to get those pent up emotions out. Left to build up and you'll explode at some point. I was unaware that your parents have Alzheimer's, and I also didn't know that your son was born with Cerebral Palsy. However I was sorry to hear it. I think for someone who's struggled with illness in the family in one form or another for so long, you've done exceptionally well and have a lot to be proud of. Don't be afraid to cry. Tears stand for many things, not just sadness, but happiness too.

Tears are a way of cleansing one's soul and it sounds as if they did that you. Humans are the only ones of God's creatures who have emotional tearing so I think that is some people feel better after a good cry. xxx R.

I've done that myself -- crying is a great emotional release and it was good for you -- it's so wonderful to have full emotions and be able to express yourself that way. You seem to feel so many things and are not afraid to share how you feel. It's hard getting older and seeing the years go by, the changes in our loved ones that are not always for the better, and the finality of life itself. Enjoy each day in some small way or another - And cry when you feel like it!

Of course cry is good for our soul. And of course show that we have heart. It release tense, feel calm after cry and feel near to God. And God is our best place to express our feeling because He is our Lord. And with His Mercy also He send our family, relatives, frens and so on to be our partner. All that because God is The Most Gracious and The Most Merciful.

I would suggest you not to cry. Just keep laughing. If you will keep laughing every time you will become cheerful from inside. Just think that you are not alone, God is watching you and is with you everytime. You will be treated on the basis of your deeds. So friend keep laughing as you are one of the millions of flowers of this world.

you are right its a good remedy for pain. It simply diverts our mind and gives us some sort of relief. I believe its the gesture to remember God and ask him what you are doin' to me.

Awwww ... I am glad that you are thankful for the fact that you still have your family and that you are so strong willed and have been through soo much! Your family is very lucky to have you and the good lord knows that you would have the patience for the task at hand which is why you have been through so much. I am grateful to the man upstairs for those like you out there as you are truly an inspiration and your love shines through in every one of your posts! I like to have a good cry once in a while it is almost replenishing!!!

first of all, i am so proud of you. you are very strong indeed and in all that you have related you didnt whine a bit! yes, it is good to cry because it releases pent up emotions, just as long as most of the crying is done in private and is not used for show or to generate pity in others. but im sure you dont do that. a big warm hug for you. im sure everyone in your family is thankful for having you as their daughter, their mother, their wife. they are lucky. just keep up the faith. jesus wept.

Hi weemam, I lead a small prayer group and with your permission Id like to say a wee prayer for your intentions. I have disabled children and prayer is the only real consolation for me. Is it ok to cry, oh yes. How fortunate you are to know that one can stop and appreciate how their life has been. Yes those old videos have a knack of reminding us just how quick life is. Take care. Peace......

Sad luck my friend. These are real bad days. Crying eases your mind. I'll narrate a story reg this: There was a young king, newly married and a newborn baby. He was killed and the news reached the young queen. For three days and nights she didnt show any emotion..she never slept, neither ate or drank anything. She wouldnt talk to anyone. She sat in a corner with all her thoughts to herself..never wept. One of her older maids saw this. She brought the baby and placed her before the queen. Seeing the baby the queen lost all self control and started weeping uncontrollably... well atleast then she got some peace of mind. So my friend, when times go wrong, cry till your hearts get empty. Cry for gods sake. It does make a huge difference. Crying for a few moments is far better than sulking all your life
