I read it somewhere recently. With the technology of dual core and quad core processors, valve(the halflife engine) is developing a new engine(for games) that will rely solely on processor. You don't need high end graphic card anymore to play games. Meaning you can cut cost on graphic card and spend it to buy a powerful processor. Now how would you like that? I would really like to hear the pro and cons of this issue.

Nope there's nothing like that. Wht the new technology says is that te graphic card will be built along with the processor. And thre will be software for efficient running of both of them .

thats really really cool. Now the Graphic Card manufacturers will have to suffer alot. I was planning to buy an nVidia 7900GT next month. Thats really good news you have given me. THe Pros I know that you would have to buy only a good processor and not graphics card, other pros & cons I don't know.
THanks
