How long would you hold onto someone you love?

If a person was not part of ur life anymore, and you loved that person dearly, how long would you stay there and wait to have him or her come back to you? At what point does it become senseless?

It becomes pointless as soon as the other person says it's over, because they will have already moved on.
The longer you try to hang onto someone in these situations, the more hurt you will end up being. It's a hard situation to be in but the best thing you can for yourself is to move on as quickly as you can.
