For those of you that drive, do you always use your blinkers?

I always use my turn signals. I'd say at least 80% of the people in this town don't and it drives me crazy! I can't count the number of times that I've almost hit someone because they decided to cut over in front of me and they didn't use their signal, so I had no warning. I like to keep a "safe" distance between me and the car in front of me, so it irritates me when people cut over in front of me, cutting into that space, without any warning. My husband is bad about using his. Most of the time he will, but sometimes he just forgets. His theory is no one else uses one so why should he (rolling eyes).

I use my blinkers all the time, sometimes even when pulling into my driveway. (I live on a street that has only 5 full time residents, so 99.9% of the time, there is no traffic. lol.) I don't like it when others don't use them, especially when they are crossing over into my lane. What is also irritating, but not as much, are those who have their blinkers left on, so for a while, every time you come to a street/driveway/parking lot, you wonder, are they turning?

I always use my blinkers when I am driving as it is being courteous and respectful of other drivers as well as you can get pulled over by the cops for unsafe lane changing. Everyone should be using their blinkers as this can help prevent accidents from happening. We should always let drivers know when we plan on turning. It is unsafe driving to not use the turn signals.

yes,i always use my blinkers.it makes me so mad when people don't use them.i've about hit them in the butt before because i wasn't aware that they were turning.i use my blinker even if i am not the one turning.if someone in front of me is turning i use my blinker to let everyone behind me see that person is turning.

I use mine too. My husband always says that when someone doesn't use their blinkers it is because they think they are broken because they keep flashing off and on (lol). The thing that is the worst is when you wait for someone to go past where you are turning out from, to turn into the driveway you are coming out of, when you could of had he time to turn.

I try to use my blinkers all the time. I want the person behind me to know that I am going to slow down, so that I can turn. It's only curtious to use blinkers, for your own safety and others..

I try to use them all the time but when Im around by my house I find myself never using them for some reason. Also this town is kind of known for people not using their turn signals. This is a really bad and dangerous habit that I have developed and I got to fix it before I get into a bad accident.

i too always use blinkers. You may never know if some vehicle turns up in a flash of a second and might cause an accident. It is a better idea to always use the blinkers, even if we do not find any traffic near by.

It's not that people have forgotten how to use them, it's just that people get too slack to bother using them. I always make a comment about how all cars come with them so they need to learn how to use them & i have found, that the people who use their indicators least of ANYone, are the ones with the fancy cars who think they're better then everyone else on the road. Absolutely i use my indicator every time i'm inthe car, whether there are people everywhere or no-one else on the road. More because it's a force of habit & just in case someone else pops us out of nowhere - or even if there's a policeman hiding somewhere i cant see him ;)

I really think they just don't care, perhaps they think the road is all theirs. I personally try to use them often but without exageration

sometimes I use my blinkers, sometimes I do not. but when changing lanes or going to any direction with or without other cars, blinkers should be used. that is a good habit to always use your blinkers. I want to develop that habit too. yeah there are some people who do not know to use their blinkers and they do not care too. I did experience being sideswipe due to not using my blinker once. good for you that you did not experience being hit yet, but mere close calls. and being cautious or driving defensively is the best approach to it all.
