Does enyone enjoy watching fractals? I adore them.

I like looking through fractls galleries. I'm some kind of fractals freak;) I put a lot of fractlas pictures as my screensaver, and I think they are beautiful. Do you like watching them or is it only some kind of ordinary picture for you? If you don't know what fractal is, it's a short explanation: A fractal is a geometric shape that can subdivided into parts, each of witch is a reduced-size copy of the whole.

After reading your discussion I came to know about the art of fractals and become interested in this art. Are fractals in 2D or 3D? I’ll try to get some related information of fractals later on. Since you are fractals freak, I believed you have created some master pieces.

I've seen only fractals in 2D. I was trying to create a fractal with the help of free software, but I wasn't successed in it. I love watching them, maybe someday I'll learn how to create them:)

a 3d rendering of fractals is possible, but hard to display in a really "enjoyable" way. Look at my pictures for some examples of fractals. There is no need of being an expert to produce those; I am a mathematician and know a little of the whole geometrical and topological theory behind fractals; but I don't need to use it in order to create pictures! Creativity and patience are enough! Try yourself with fractint or tierazon!
