Sharing resposibilty of taking care of elderly parents in your life,

In Asia especially in the custom I am in, responsibility of taking care of the elderly parent is a must. But I think its should be share among the sibbling. My sibblings is alway running aways from this as my mother is a very cranky lady. I think I need help is understanding this elderly life what they want and health.
