Vista or XP Which is better?

I am planning to buy a new computer as i am a gamer. I am also planning to install vista in it. But I have heard that vista has not so many good features than XP. Also games run better on XP only. Also you have to install 2Gb of ram and a 256 Mb. graphics card. So what's your opinion on that. Please reply because i will change my computer in 1 to 2 days. Thanks.
