I love crockpot dinners. There just is nothing better than the smell of a fresh cooked dinner when you arrive home from a busy day at the office or of paying bills and shopping. Let admit it, you are just too tired to cook now. This is a great creamy swiss staeak. It is prepared in the crockpot in 8-10 hours, depending on the size of meat that you add to it. It is so wonderful smelling and tasting. It is great served over rice, potatoes or homemade biscuits. Creamy Swiss Steak in the Crockpot 1 ½ pound ¾ inch thick round steak 2 tablespoons flour 1 teaspoon salt ¼ teaspoon pepper 1 medium onion, sliced 10 ¾ ounce can cream of mushroom soup or homemade mushroom cream soup 1 carrot, chopped 1 small celery rib, chopped Cut steak into serving size pieces Combine flour, salt and pepper. Dredge meat in flour Place onions in bottom of slow cooker. Add meat. Spread Cream of mushroom soup over meat. Top with carrots and celery Cover. Cook on low 8-10 hours or high 3-5 hours It is ready to eat.
