I love crockpot dinners. There just is nothing better than the smell of a fresh cooked dinner when you arrive home from a busy day at the office or of paying bills and shopping. Let admit it, you are just too tired to cook now. This is a great creamy swiss staeak. It is prepared in the crockpot in 8-10 hours, depending on the size of meat that you add to it. It is so wonderful smelling and tasting. It is great served over rice, potatoes or homemade biscuits.
Creamy Swiss Steak in the Crockpot
1 ½ pound ¾ inch thick round steak
2 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper
1 medium onion, sliced
10 ¾ ounce can cream of mushroom soup or homemade mushroom cream soup
1 carrot, chopped
1 small celery rib, chopped
Cut steak into serving size pieces
Combine flour, salt and pepper. Dredge meat in flour
Place onions in bottom of slow cooker. Add meat.
Spread Cream of mushroom soup over meat. Top with carrots and celery
Cover. Cook on low 8-10 hours or high 3-5 hours
It is ready to eat.

This sounds really yummy! I am going to try it. Crockpot dinners come in handy when you don't want to be tied to your kitchen. I used to use the crockpot alot when I worked, and still use it about twice a month or more depending on what I have going on. I usually use it to slow cook a roast or to cook beans. Thanks for the recipe!

No, Scones and Biscuits are totally different. I have posted recipes for both scones and biscuits. Do a search on my profile. Biscuits have been around since pioneer days. They are just wonderful.

I used to have a slow Cooker when I was working Full time and it used to come very Handy. I used to prepare it in the morning put it in the Pot and then leave it to cook on low all Day. And it used to be ready when I got home.

I have two crockpots. One is large and the other one is a smaller one. I make this in my larger one.

Oh that sounds good and fairly easy to make. I have been looking for different things to cook in my crockpot. I hardly ever use it. Thanks for sharing this recipe.

This sounds really good. I just pulled out a big hunk of foil wrapped meat. I think it is ribs...yum. That will go into the crockpot about noon and since hubby is working tonight for me. It should be a nice meal for when he gets home. Appreciate you sharing these, some I add to my collection. They do motivate us to use our appliance more often.

This sounds delicious. I think I'm going to try it for dinner tomorrow but since I don't have any round steak on hand, I'm going to have to substitute some of the venison from my freezer. I think I have everything else I need. Either way it sounds great though.

This sounds pretty goo. I'm not a mushroom fan so I may leave that out when I try it. I'm always looking for new Crockpot dinners.
