I was just discussing this with my sister in law the other day when we took my daughter to see Hansel and Gretel. I mean it's about a woman to likes to eat children and the kids pushing her into a hot stove! I have noticed that most of the stories today aren't like that. Gee I wonder why?? LOL!

its funny isnt it? the stories and nursery rhymes that were around adn now they all are changing..
Even Alice in wonderland. Alice is eating mushrooms that make her bigger and smaller and the caterpillar is smoking a big long pipe... it sounds a little bit strange doesnt it...? Magic mushrooms etc

What asbout that good night song in the US about the cradle in the tree: the cradle will fall, down will come cradle baby and all. I never got that.
We do have a lot os scary fairytales, but they all end well. That song ends badly! I'd never sing that to my kids ever!
My favorite is a norwegian one about the stars at night. It's asking what all the spots in sky are: are they angels, are they Gods light, or maybe they are golden holes for the angles to watch you through.

i think three blind mice is one of those not so child friendly nursery rhymes. imagine a farmer's wife cutting the tails of the defenseless mice with a carving knife.i think its not good for children to hear it they might think hurting animals is good.
