Some people sacrifice time because they want the job status like being a manager, director or a CEO of a company even though their income is not that much in comparable to the time they have to sacrifice for not being there with their love ones. Some sacrifice job status just so that they can earn an unlimited income.
Which one is more important? Job status or the money?

i think the money would be more important and that's why we work hard for it. but if the job status would bring in more money than your current status, then that would be more important. but not as important as having to sacrifice your family for it. although if you have a big family or you live by what you earn only, then i guess its understandable to want higher income and sacrifice some time for the family to have a better life.

For me, the status is nothing if you have no money. With have enough money we will feel independent, and our money can make more money and at the same time we can upgrade our life and we also can help other people which need.Sometimes the hawker is richer than a manager as a silent millionaire.

I think salary is more important that status. I work for a living, not for power.

Neither status nor money is the issue, in my case. It's the way I feel about it.
Definitely not a high-roller here. I work at the front desk of a small motel. The majority of the people I see come to us through a contract. I see the exact same guys 2 days one week, 3 the next. Their occupation requires them to stay 10 hours minimum, then leave, so I often see each of them twice in a day.
Status-wise, I am a desk clerk at a trucker lodge. Not winning any prestige points here.
Finance-wise, I make minimum wage at full-time hours, which gets me by.
I could be flipping burgers for more money than I make at this place. However, I find it hard to leave after having been there a year and a half. Why? At first, I though it was because I am young and was just scared to venture on. However, they are willing to work around my college schdule and still give me as many hours as I can handle, I know the ins and outs of it, and aboe all else...I love the people that I work with. I have formed friendships that will last far beyond my current employment.
You've got to like what you do - that is the key. Even though I'm 20, I have management experience, and CAN easily get a job that at least pays better. Someday, I will. But I LIKE WHAT I DO, and that is quite rare.
Who cares what you do or what you make if, at the end of the day, you have no reason to smile except to think that it's over???
