Should the burden on children reduced

I saw my friends son who was 9-year-old, coming form the school, as I was standing on the busstop. He came to me and said aunt can u hold this bag for a second, my shoe lace is open. When I holded his bag I couldnt hold it for more than 10 seecond it was too heavy.I asked him that why dont u carry the bag as per ur time-table, he said they are according to the time-table only. I felt pitty on him, and felt sorry for him. After tieing the lace, I gave him back the bag, his shoulder was bending because of the weight. If it was heavy for me it should be much more than to him.
Why these innocent child have carry these heavy bag?

Me personally i really dont think that carrying a heavy bag is a huge price to pay for a lifetime of education, i mean really think about it, when he is a real estate lawyer, do you really think he will be crying about a heavy bag? or thanking the heavy bag for having the knowledge instilled inside of it. which helped to achieve his success? just alittle brain teaser! lol

carrying a heavy bag doesn't necessarily gain you a good profession later in life. A heavy bag is a heavy bag. Period. One oughta study smartly and that doesn't inlcude carrying heavy bags around till one's back bends. Once the back is bent, it is harder to be corrected if or not one is a family lawyer or a real estate lawyer !

Every parent goes through this. I am not sure where you live but here every so often especially at the beginning of a school year, this discussion starts up in the newspaper's letters column of how the poor children damage their backs with heavy bags, I bought my daughter a trolley bag so she could wheel it instead of carrying it, but her teacher insists on her carrying it because it may damage the floor. I keep looking for bags that are lightweight so that she does not have the added weight of the bag to contend with.

Thanks for the comment...... It is really bad to see that small kid carrying this heavy baggage. It is really a serious issue because this will hamper their back from the small age it self. So it necessary that there should be locker facility in each and every school....Ansd they should be given very less baggage to carry....
