Would you quit your job and follow your hubby or wife if they get posted?

it would all depend on the situation. But with the situation I'm in right now, I would definately follow my husband. He's in the military and wouldn't for a second even give it a second thought if I should or shouldn't follow him.

I wouldn't quit my job just in case things doesn't work out for us in another country. What I will do is to apply for no pay leave from my boss. See the situation there first. If everything is to our advantage, then I will quit my job later. But if your spouse have a better deal given by his or her company, then by all means go ahead.

I did and am about to do it again, my husband received a great job offer in Turkey a couple of years ago, so I gave up my job and we moved out there. Now he has recieved a contract to work in the Carribean so we are about to move again.

I have! I was working in one country and my husband in another. I was doing much better than my husband in terms of wages as well as career prospects, but, he was happier in the country he was working in, so I gave up my job and joined him. We had a baby, he got a really good job offer soon after, he is doing really well with his career, I made a complete change in my career, I was a stay at home mom until my daughter started school and now I have a full time job and we are all very happy!

How I wish I can answer your question with a husband beside me... I am a single mom but got interested in answering this post.
If I ever have a husband who will be posted to another country, I would submissively resign and come with him. I know a lot of feminists will argue with me but for me, family comes first. I have experienced living away from my daughter and it's very hard. Therefore, I would choose family over career. I could always find a similar job in another country.
