what if someone said, that your baby doesn't look like you or the father/mother?

This topic is not applicable to me, I am not married yet. But these type of offensive talk would arouse anyone. Even when I read this I am getting frustrated, if someone told me this I would give him a nice slap on his face, that is really touching our ego.

I havn't had my daughter yet but I don't think it would bother me if someone thought she was adopted. Who cares? Either way she is my child. It is also perfectly normal and natural for a child to not look like one or both of the parents, especially as a child. Growing up I didn't look like my mother, now I do though. It wouldn't really bother me if someone wanted to say that my baby isn't my husband's...we both know that she is and that is all that matters.

This actually doesnt trouble me at all. What i generally say is im happy our children dont look like either of us, i wouldnt want to condem a child to a lifetime of my looks lol. I would tell them to mind their own gossiping business. I would then explain that not all kids unlike themselves and their kids, had to question the identity of their father.

it never did bother me when someone said that to me.it not anything bad to say.some people takes it the wrong way when they shouldnt.unless they have a dark secret.i dont think people say that to offend anyone.i tell my son all the time his daughter dont look like him or the mother.there nothing really to get mad about.

People only say things like this as a joke, and most people would take it that way. If someone really thought that they would not say it to your face only behind your back so you would not be hurt. All babies are beautiful and sometimes people will comment where does the baby get it from - not your guys - or even 'thank god the baby doesn't take after you 2' but they only mean it in fun - sort of teasing - and would never say it if they thought for one second the parents believed it or would be hurt by it.

I think that would be increadibly rude! How aweful for someone to tell anyone that the baby is luckey not to look like their parents! Im lucky my son looks like me, but his coloring is his fathers. But still its terrible thing to say. I would be offended and probably come back with a rude reply. Or even something like oh i found the baby on the sidewalk. But im easily offended like that.
