Why do you keep changing cellphones? What's your preference for choosing one?

I recently bought a cellphone for my brother because his isn't working anymore. He gave me some money and asked me if I could share some so that I could buy a decent phone with camera for him. I did and I bought one that is on sale from a cellphone network. He asked for a camera phone because he and his wife separated and he wanted to have pics of his children wherever he goes. Buying for my brother made me want to buy one for myself too. But I am short on the budget so I'm planning to buy a simple phone that don't need to have a camera. Just something I can text and call in. I think sometimes it is better to have a separate gadget for different purposes. Because sometimes the cameras on the phones are very limiting. So is the mp3s or mp4s in phones. What do you think?
