Rating for my star

That is great. Your star rating jumped up from 2 to 6. Hope mune too will reach some day. I had a star rating of 9 previously and it slipped to 8. I dont know how long i have to wait so that it will be 9 again.

The star is determined by How mylot members rate you and I know see you have risen to a 10 since you started this discussion Good for you I have been on 8 for a while. It would be nice to rise up maybe one day. Maybe I'm just not that loveable :( I don't mind really as long as I don't drop dramatically :)

Mine was a 9 forever...then it was an 8 for one day and now I see I have dropped to a 7...if I work my magic just right maybe I can go for being number 1

It is so good to hear that and your rating is actually 10 now. The rating is based on the activity you have on mylot, if oyu are active like posting and replying for the whole day, probably you will get an increase. Your sudden increase may be a delay of update of your activity last day,otherwise I cannot think of any reasons.

Blimey! I just seen this post. It is only 3 weeks old and you have gone from a 2 star to a ten. And you have over 2000 posts! Wow that really is an achievement and something to aim for! Well done and congratulations to you! I wonder were I will be in three weeks time with mylot!

Well done on reaching your 10 star, Wizard. I reached mine once and so did a good friend of mine... his went back down to 7 within 24 hours of reaching 10, and today, mine has gone back down to nine, so I'm not getting too excited over stars whilst they're so fluctuating. I mean, how the heck can you go to 10 one day, and back down to 7 the next day? That, to me, is utterly ridiculous. I hope you stay at 10... you deserve it. Brightest Blessings.

when i completed my 100 post i was and am having 4 inside star i also dont know how it works and what does it mean can any body tell me

I was lucky enough to start with a 7. I think I responded to many responsible mylotters who were good enough to rate me even when I hadnt reached a 100 yet. I did jump at one time from 9 to 10 when I had been stuck on 92/100 for so long and reached 95 or 96 I think. That was a glitch because the same thing happened to a friend of mine who was the same rating as me. Not sure about why it happened though.

Star Ratings? Who Actually rates you with a star? is it Mylot or the users I'm So Confused and Would really love to know. I think that mylot is the greatest thing that's came to the internet since bloging. I hope that they stay for a very long time. Have a great day Jon

It is indeed fascinatiing to discover "stars" and "earnings" piling up especially those pencil-pushing for extra bucks through myLot. Good for you my friend. However, more than the mometary renumeration one gets for the time spent in myLot is the fulfillment and peace of mind achieved in using this medium in airing out our despair and frustrations about almost anything under the sun. On a personal note, while it is gratifying to be rewarded for the effort afforded but i fell more rewarded by concerned people whom I have not known to have existed across the globe to bother and spend a minute or two of their time in this frenzy busy world to send me a response to my discussions. They are not obliged to. But I feel a certain warmth for letting my angst be heard out, regardless if I receive a response or not. Good luck to you my friend.

I do not even pay attention to those stars anymore mine changes constantly. I just do my best, and participate as best as I can, as far as the rating.. I don't care, as long as I put forth my best... but I do rate everyone else as positive unless they are breaking mylots TOS or guidelines. - DNatureofDTrain
