Get time to know the people you work with. Explore their strengths and their weaknesses and align their tasks with their skills and capbilities. Always make them feel motivated and important by giving sincere assessment of their performances.

I have been in management most of my life. I think it either comes natural or not. I have had some really pitiful bosses over the years, but I have always tried to be a fair boss. My actions show my people what I will do and what I will tolerate. I try to be a team player and build a good strong team that has the interest of the company the same as mine. It is not hard to manage people, you just have to be diplomatic, fair, but firm.

The most common way in which to manage people is to gain their respect and not to expect them to surrender it. To hear what they say and not just listen to them, and act or respond to their words respectfully. Don't expect people to do what you wouldn't be prepared to do and lead by example rather than be overbaring and dictative. Be fair to all alike and do not favour on personalities.
Try these and maybe the other clues may come to you. Smile..
