Wereturtle? What?

I was reading online today that different cultures have different myths about lycanthropes. In the US we have the werewolf and, in my hometown in WV, we have mothman, a half-man, half-winged insect creature. What types of changeling beast haunt your local myths?

Strangely enough we don't have our own, we borrowed yours!!lol.. oh and Transilvania's old dracula too!! haha

Oh I meant to say that we watched the Moth Man movies a little while back... not a very charming sort of fellow was he!!

In the 1960's & early 1970's in my home town we had a story going around about a giant aligator roming th banks of the Ohio River. It was suppose to be 25 feet long with 6 legs. The polution in the river was suppose to have mutated the creature.
