Roger Federer has beaten the record of Jimmy Connors for the highest number of consecutive weeks at the number one in ATP classification. Federer is the first tennis player in the world since February 2007. Now he wants to reach the record of Pete Sampras of 289 non-consecutive weeks at the first place. But there is also Grand Slam to try to win…

It's sad and a shame when the records are beaten by one person all the time, but it helps to create a new soruce of fun. I just hope he fails some of them, it's no fun hearing is name all the time or even thinking he'll win all the time. ~Joey

If you get the chance to watch one of his matches, do it! He's awesome. There isn't a weakness in his game. He may just be the best tennis player that ever lived. I honestly don't believe it's a far stretch to say he WILL NEVER relinquish the #1 ranking unless he either retires or suffers a career ending injury. If this guy is having a 'bad day' it's still nearly impossible to beat him.
But...Andy Roddick is still my current favorite, and I don't care what feats Federer accomplishes, he'll never win my heart more so than Jimmy did, or McEnroe for that matter.

I just heard the news this morning about federer. I think he is really the best tennis player that the world has. He had defeated every player that he had been playing with although there are some instances where he has been defeated. I think that he'll be the number 1 player in the world for many more weeks. he is consistent and he never let his nerves control him while he is playing. He has a tough mindset.
