i think it would be cool if we started a discussion here where we tried to teach each other a bit of our languages. i know there have been some discussions where people asked "how do you say i love you/thank you/hello in your language?" but i dont think that's enough. i love learning languages, and i feel like i pick them up quite easily. please try to write the words so that everyone can be able to pronounce them correctly (and please specify what language it is)! i am posting a little template below that you can follow, but feel free to continue adding more if you want. ----- Language - Dari (Official Language of Afghanistan) HELLO: salaam GOODBYE: bamane khuda / khuda hafiz HOW ARE YOU?: chutor asti (informal), chutor astin (formal) THANK YOU: tashakor PLEASE: lutfan I LOVE YOU: tera dost daram / dostet daram (informal), shumara dost daram / dostetan daram (formal) YES: aw (informal) / baley (formal) NO: nee ONE: yak TWO: do THREE: sey FOUR: char FIVE: pinj SIX: shash SEVEN: aft EIGHT: asht NINE: no TEN: da ----- Language - Pashto (Official Language of Afghanistan) HELLO: salaam / steray meshe (to man) / sterey meshe (to woman) GOODBYE: khudai paman HOW ARE YOU?: tsenga yeh (informal) / tsenga yaay (formal) THANK YOU: tashakor / manena PLEASE: lutfan I LOVE YOU: ze tasera meana larum (informal) / ze tasay sara meana larum (formal) YES: wo (informal) / baley wo (formal) NO: nah ONE: yow TWO: dwa THREE: drey FOUR: tsalor FIVE: pinze SIX: shpag SEVEN: wo EIGHT: ateh NINE: nehe TEN: laas

This is a good discussion. it's great to learn each other language, but even if we know how to write it, it,s so hard to prononce it. But I will do it anywya :) Language : French Hello : Allo (or) Bonjour How are you : Comment allez-vous Thank you : Merci Please : S'il-Vous-Plait I love you : je t'aime Yes and No : oui, Non One : Un Two : deux Three: trois Four : quatre Five : cinq Six : six Seven : sept Eight : huit Nine : neuf Ten : Dix I never realise how the number in english and french sometimes are almost the same :)

yah its true! english and french have a lot of similar words, but i guess that's because they both come from latin roots. same with spanish and italian. so you're another french speaker? salut, ca va? d'ou est-ce que tu viens?
