Ellen Degeneres, ok to have a lesbian hosting the oscars?

Hi folks,I just wanted to make a little post about Ellen, what are your though on Ellen. I really enjoy her and see no reason why people would have a problem with her being a lesbian. Her regular show is very and i have to tell you i think its better to watch her than springer What do you all think? The oscars are a big deal, I guess, do you think its a big deal any more to have gays do anything?

As much as I like Ellen (she's a lesbian?) I don't think she was as good as she could have been as a host. Her material was too low key for such a prestigious occasion, and I especially didn't like the vacuum cleaner gag. The script for Scorsese was cute, and the "take my picture" gag was okay, but her opening monologue fell flat for me.
Other than that, (yes I know she's gay) I was happy that she got the gig. But I think she's better at the Emmy's. How about Jerry Seinfeld to host the Oscars next year? He was funny!

I think it's fine as long as she doesn't actually wear her strap-on on stage.
Because that's what always ruined Billy Crystal's hosting for me.
