It was a wonderful match at the millenium stadium. Arsenal fielded a young but wonderful team and Chelsea played their regular team. At the end of the day, Chelsea won. I feel arsenal deserved to win. They were just too good. What do you think?

Does anyone really still care about the League Cup? With the European Champions League, FA Cup, and Premiership, this trophy has been a joke for the last 10 years. Arsenal didn't even field their first team!

ou're right. They didn't even field their first team. But it must have hurt to lose to chelsea, seeing that that was one trophy that was within their grasp. The young lads impressed me a lot. hey played Chelsea the game of their lives.

I shouldn't be too critical of the old League Cup really, because I'm a Rochdale FC supporter (start at the bottom of League2 and go up several places - there we are!), and the only truly historic moment in the clubs history was in this cup. In the early 1960s, we lost the final to Norwich. Of course, in those days the final wasn't at Wembley, and was in fact played over 2 legs, and the big teams didn't enter it!
I wasn't even born then, so I'd be eternally delighted if Rochdale ever made it to the final at Wemblay, and would then claim it was the biggest cup competition in the World.

Arsenal Have generally been a disappointment this season-Wenger needs to buy more players-we cannt rely on young inexperienced, though talented players-we need big names next season

It has really been a very disappointing season. The team's overall performance has been pathetic. Wenger needs to take some smart and decisive steps to ensure success next season.

I think arsenal actually played a better game but lost to a more experienced side like chelsea. If only their backline were a lot more careful those two goals would not have been scored. Unfortunately three days later they lost out in the FA cup after playing a better game than Blackburn Rovers i think this year is not actually their year they should wait for next season by then their youngsters would have matured toa formidable team. I wish them good luck in their champions league matches
