When you are talking to him, squat down and look him in the eyes. When you are done talking say "do you understand?" (you can say that with a smile on your face! It doesn't have to be a statement of anger)Never, ever end your sentence with "ok?". That implies he has the choice of fulfilling your request or not. Most importantly, follow through. If you have told him it is time for a nap then you may have to sit there and stare at him until he understands that you mean what you say. If you have said "No more cookies" don't cave in and give him another cookie. If you do, he will never take you seriously. If you want to be in charge, you have to take charge.

I think being a role model yourself will have a great impact on the child!Be persistent with whatever you say but do not force the child!Put yourself in the position of the child when you order him to listen to you and see if it is reasonable to you!hope these tips are useful to you!
