I will be traveling to London with three girlfriends in September. What are the "must see" places you would recommend? How about a good restaurant? We are all in our late 50's so please keep that in mind when recommending night spots. Loud music is OK but within limits.

Oh, can I come, too?? Please please please please please??? Please, take me with you. It would mean the WORLD to me. I'll find my own place to stay, I just need a way to get there and I don't quite have the money yet. :(

Oh, I can't wait years. That's definitely not an option! I am trying to save, though. *sigh*

Definitely give the London Eye a spin, the views are brilliant from the top. Head to Covent Garden for some fantastic little restaurants, particularly Italian, or if you prefer Chinese food then into Soho. How about looking into getting tickets for some of the London shows, this depends on the kind of thing you are into of course.

thanks you so much for the great tips. We tried to do this trip once before back in 2001 but we were scheduled to fly out of JFK on 9/11. Need I say more! Its taken us all this time to get the trip back on track and we're really looking forward to it. Keep you fingers crossed for us.

that's what I hear. I took a course, offered at the local art museum, all about the history of London dating back to the romans. I'm very excited to have the opportunity to see some of the things I read about.

If you need some infos to organize your stay in London, please visit http://chilasher.tripod.com The site is still under construction, but I hope you will find something useful... For example consider to buy a special card as The London Pass, which offers benefits on public transports, shops, restaurants and free entry to the best attractions of London like The tower of London, Kensington Palace, Windsor Castle etc... And enjoy your journey :-)
