Mylot a huge waste of time!

If you look at is as a money earner, than of course it isn's worth the 'wage'. But that's not the point for many of us. I spend hours on duscussion boards online, making connections, exchangin ideas, and yes, making friends. I do this whether I am paid or not. It fills a need in my life, as I am otherwise quite isolated.

You can think what you want but some people like to have some answers to things so good way to do it. Some people don't do just for the money. Some people want some help to there problems.

MyLot is not a place where to earn big sums. It is mainly a discussions centre where to exchange opinions about anything you like, you're thinking or happens. More, there is the good coming from the earnings.

I kinda agree with you. That's if you are doing nothing except myLot. As for me, I usually check my emails and surf for a while on the internet everyday, so myLot is another opened tab in my browser. That's why I don't consider it wasting my time. I have engaged in some good discussions here since I joined, and as long as it's not very time consuming, I'm OK with it.

I think youre being a little too harsh. This isn't lazy, unless you think that anyone taking time doing a hobby is also lazy. I think hobbies, AKA "time wasters" are important. If we all spent our time working all the time 24 hours a day and doing "productive" things all the time, then we would all be a society of Type A personalities. I for one, enjoy discussing about issues. Most people I would guess (I would hope) are not here for the money. I think the hourly wage is way less than .40 cents an hour (at least in my case hehehe) I am here because it's now my hobby and I like it. I spent about 20-30 minutes a day on here, but when I was off work, I was spending a lot longer. It's fun! Better than watching TV.

Well oscar, if you think this is a waste of time why are you still here..No honestly, if you don't like it here you can leave, nobody is forcing you to stay here. You have just started and have no idea how myLot works first thing and secondly just because we are here it doesn't mean we are lazy. Mylot does pay but you surely cannot live by what is earned here. We should appreciate the fact that we get paid for doing something we love. Money is not the only thing we are here for. It's much more than that. And there is no hourly "wage" here...well as I said you don't know how it works, so you might want to think twice before commenting on something you don't know. Good day!

I don't think anyone thinks they are going to get rich doing this but for me it is not a matter of being lazy but filling time. I work from home and in between calls I post topics and read and post to discussions. So it adds something to my work day. I started because of the money but have found some very interesting information and had a few giggles. I enjoy what people are saying and thinking. Since you aren't going too far with that broken leg maybe relax and enjoy what this site offers.

If you're in something for the money, you'll always be dissatisfied. If you enjoy doing what you do, you'll find satisfaction. I think it's a great forum for exchanging ideas. Hey, I know being laid up for a while is a real bummer, but what if you commiserate regarding your injury as opposed to counting the seconds until you're healed? You might just find the time flies by.

oscar i don't want to insult you or anything but if you thing it is a waste of time and money you do not have to be here i know i spend recently alote of time here cause i am enjoying the discussions ofcourse i want money but it is not the reason i am here i have a bit of time to write here and i am enjoying here when i wont have time i wont be here it is not a must and there are alote of other better ways to make money so take it easily.. there are people that like being here:) i am sure you will too..if you wont expect the money issue

Hey dont look into it as a source of income. Its better to think of it as a source of entertainment. I believe that MyLot is a good place to share your thoughts and also yo invite other's thoughts, and the money factor only adds to the entertainment I believe.

I do not use myLot for a wage. Fair enough getting paid something for posting your views etc is good. I have my own business to run and a child to look after, so in between doing emails, dealing with customers, changing nappies etc etc. It is nice to get on a site and talk about everything and anything and get something back for it. I must say, i would like to get a bit more than 1 cent for 2/3 posts but ah well, thats the way it works.

Yes, I do it for the money and I'm unsatisfied that it's around .01 cents per post/discussion. Oh well can't have everything right? If you find something else, that pays you let me know.

i think you believe that you are the most intelligent person right now in mylot and rest 74,000 are fools.mylot is a community and most of its users enjoys here at mylot. i want to give you one simple example. as in india independence day is celebrated with kite flying and people spend hundread of dollars in that but still when they find a free kite they grab it,not because they got it free or not because they cant buy it.its a type of enjoyment. same here with mylot.we all post in discussions after discussions but still dint get bored,why?because we all enjoys at mylot.

You're probably right, if you're looking for money, this is not the right vehicle or means for you. We are here to share ideas and opinions and at the same time learn and have friends. Yes its true that we can earn money with the responses and discussion we made as a reward but it's not much compare if you are really working. There are so many people who are mislead by this principle(earning money)in joining mylot.

I don't agree with you, it depends on what you are looking for here in mylot. If you are trying to earn money it's not the right place, but if you looking for a place in which you want to chat and make new friends mylot is the right place.

True, depends on what you are here for... I work 2 part jobs, so I am definitely not lazy, but enjoy some of the topics here and meeting new people. www.dormclub is also another good site, but even tho the payout is faster, i appreciate mylot's wide range of categories...

I have joined recently "Mylot"and after so much pain I found my earnings - US$ 0.16 and I am not happy.It is fun to read the discussions and also participate and get paid but then the payments should be reasonable. Honestly I found your post rude and uncalled for. People don't come here to make money. If they did it would be called MyMoneyLot errr something like that. People come here to make friends, socialize, have a sense of support, and help others with problems. It is a good way to get advice, suggestions, and insight from other people. If you really think that is a waste of time then don't bother coming back. The choice is yours, but have some respect for the people who do find this site useful.
