Try this. One day, pick your favorite member, click on all their posts, and stick with them for the whole time you have to be on MyLot. Just go through all their posts, one at a time, unless you don't like that post. Then if you have time, go to another one of your friends, and go through their posts.

I often start at the beginning of my friends list and comment on one or more of each of their discussions. Sometimes I cannot get through them all. Many of my friends only respond to discussions and have yet to post their own.

If I don't make it through the entire friends' list I will start the next day and finish where I left off.

I have too many friends in my list to single out just one. I like to read as many discussions as I can all of my friends.

When I log in I always start off with answering my friends posts. I don´t always just stick with one and then go to another, because I use the feature "discussions my friends have started" on the left side of the page. The problem is that the posts are all mixed up, some I´ve already answered, others that are months old and it takes time to get through them all. I´ll follow your advice from now on, which is a lot less time consuming.
Thanks for a good hint.

This is a very good suggestion and have done that at times with my good friends on here. I have several friends on here that I will try and reply to as many of their posts that I can, that I can relate to or give a good response on. It is definitely a good way to build a friendship on here and knowing that you will get responses as well. I may have to start doing this again. :-) Thanks again for the tip.

As I am perhaps too organized but I answer my favorites first every day, then all the other friends, then when I have extra time I pick one friend and go into their profile and find the oldest discussion and try to give them some new life. This is time consuming as unfortunately I can't see which one I have already answered but I get past that by posting a comment to someone else response... it still earn a point and it get brought into the foreground again. (At least I hope it does!)

That's what I am doing - and goodness, there are so many users, so many posts, ha!
Friends would be a good place to start. I request to be added as friend when I see someone "worthy" and whether he does that or not, I go through every post and reply where possible. Then I set the notify to auto so that I can be there to "support" him and help get his new discussions moving. That's the least a friend should do. :)

Wow, now that's a lot of responses. I guess teh question is, what do you do if you don't have any friends. The other question I have is, yesterday i started 5 or so discussions, and responded to 28 or so. Today I have 48 cents. i figured that for each, i should get two cents...so what gives?

I get through my friends list since they come into my email box. I get to them as soon as I can. I work outside the home so sometimes my impatient friends mark the best responses within hours. So as I answer and check to see my response within the discussion and see that marked I am done answering their discussions. I just consider the discussion over and done once that is picked. They obviously don't need me. Anyway, I do see all my friends discussions and answer all that I can in some manner. What are friends for.

I tend to stick to my friends discussions now. I have so many of them and I don't want to hurt someones feelings deleting them..lol When nothing good is floating around I go into some of their profiles and check for discussions there. I wish I could start the whole friend process over again...it would be easier if I knew then what I know now. Of course hindsight is always 20/20...lol

That is a good idea for sure. Won't waste so much time looking for some good discussions. I will have to try that.

It has been a while since I have done a one friend only day, but it might be fun. I have from time to time, gone to look for one discussion from each friend and answered it. That seemed pretty efficient as well.

This is a good method, but the problem I have is that I have a lot of friends who start many discussions that I know nothing about or have absolutely nothing to contribute. I won't post just to post, so I would quickly move through the list. I do this every once in a while if I feel that I have been "neglecting" my friends, but I have never gone all the way back to their first discussions and responded. I think I'll actually give this a try. It's a good way to revive some old discussions and bring some new life here.

I still have a fairly small friends list so i have all my friends discussions go to my email and i answer them in that order. If I don't understand the question, I will try and read others responses or look it up on the net other wise I don't respond at all.

If they are your friends they will, or should try too.

I was doing that for a while, but then I found that I did not like that. I was missing out on the newer one from my other friends and I really wanted to put my two cents in before everyone else inidated them with theirs. Most of the time people just view the first few posts then stop. Oh well, I think I will try it again, once I catch up with all of my back up.

I thought I was the only one that thought of this. I usually try to answer at least one discussion from my friends on my list. I have quite a bit of friends here and I can't ever get to all of them.
