Hi shann, welcome to myLot. You seem to have the right idea already. Posting quality discussions and posting responses will help to boost your points. Never respond with just one word, as this may be deleted and you may not be paid, and always try to respond with a least four lines of a reply. Invite other members to join your friends list, as these will help by responding to your topics. Also try to get some referrals as these too will help to increase your earnings. Best of luck and I hope you will have many happy hours here on myLot.

Tips on getting started: 1 - Get registered on myLot. 2 - Setup your profile. 3 - Edit your interests. 4 - Edit your preferences. 5 - Start posting and replying to discussions. 6 - Watch your earnings add up with each new post (updated every 24 hours). You need to reach at least $10 in the month to get paid. If you do not make the $10 mark, your balance will be carried over to the next month. Read FAQ's, Terms, About myLot, and others for more information.

Hi...welcome to mylot. Here is my advice for what it's worth. Choose the discussions you respons to very carefully. Ignore all the mindless discussion s you'll see (what is you favorite color etc). Those all end up being deleted and you lose credit for responses. If you find a user whose discussion/responses you like, invite them to be friends. That way you'll always have a good number of quality discussions to respond to. Make sure your responses are good...a couple of lines at least, and always on subject (make sure to read the entire post as there is always someone trying to catch people out for not doing that). Other than that, have fun and earn some money.

One person suggested setting a goal, for example, of writing 50 responses a day. So you find responses you want to respond to, or discussion ideas you want to start with and go from there. 50 a day is a ton, because I spent about 2 hours yesterday and got about 35, which earned me 48 cents. So unless you're supereficient, it's not too worth it. Even if you are, I think it only ends up being about a buck an hour.
