If you are having hair loss, check with the city to see if they havechanged the chemicals they added to the water. When they started adding amonia to the water in thecity I used to live in, about 25% of women startedcomplaining of hair loss, and its apparently permanent.

I have been suffering on and off with hair loss for a number of years. For my the loss is probably because it's one of the symptoms of my Fibromyalgia Syndrome .. and the other is because I take large quamtities of medications every day ..
Obviously for everyone the reason behind the hair loss may be different .. sometimes it's stress .. sometimes it's pregnancy, family traits etc etc ... just to make sure it's nothing too serious I would suggest you have a doctor check your scalp over ..
But here's what I have found that helps me .. first of all I changed to hair care products that are natural and not made from petrochemicals .. I use a brand called Faith In Nature .. but I am sure that there will be some really good brands in your own countries .. almost as soon as I stopped using the petrochemical products my hair started to thicken .. I did some research on why this might be and found that the petrochemical products are probably just too harsh and were having an adverse effect .. the 'natural' products may cost a little extra, but I found that they actually do a better job, I needed less of the product and so they actually lasted longer which made them seem roughly the same cost overall as the supermarket brands ...
I then bought all new brushes .. my old ones had seen better days and I made sure the new ones had little 'bobbles' on the end of each prong so they couldn't scratch my scalp in any way ..
And lastly I invested in some supplements for hair and nails .. don't go for the expensive 'flashy' brands .. just check out your usual vitamin and supplements shop for some of their own products ..
I can't say my hair is lush and glossy .. but I don't wake up with clumps of hair on my pillow and I don't shed hair when I walk around anymore hehehe
I do hope some of this helps .. as hair loss is never nice .. and we all want to have 'nice' heads of hair we can be proud of ..

Can you apply a thick, sticky stuff on your head, most of the people can't, but whoever did, was satisfied.
Try massaging your scalp in a clockwise direction with HONEY,
everyday fifteen minutes before taking your regular bath.

I lost most of my hair due to Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, so if this problem persists, you might want to get checked out. Because the hair loss CAN be prevented, but once you lose it, its gone. Not to scare you though, you might just need a good multi vitamin.

You need to take care of your hair from the inside and the outside. Get a good cut, use a good shampoo. Try using a cider vinegar rinse once a week. 1Tbsp vinegar in a cup of water, after the shampoo. It will clean soap residue off, and cleanse your scalp. Eat plenty of good quality protein. Take a multivitamin, and A and D and E and B complex. Talk to your doctor about your concerns.

I have thin hair and also start "shedding" some of it in the Winter. I suggest if you have the same problem, that you cut your hair a bit shorter and try to cut it a little bit every month. The longer you hair gets, the weaker it gets as well.
Also, go to the pharmacy and buy a shampoo that's especially formulated to compensate for hair loss. You can use it with something like this too:

(Vichy is a good brand)
Some hair loss problems (especially on women) can be related to hormonal issues, so maybe seeing your doctor/gynecologist might be a good idea.

There is a thick sticky thing to apply on, but it is very difficult, most of the people wasn't able to stand it, but it is efficient.

I personally haven't faced this.
Although I do know people who have for various different reasons.
Something would be causing this, it's probably a good idea to check it out with a doctor if your concerned.
It could be your shampoo, stress, if you're on medication sometimes these do it. Really the best way is try and do mini tests to find out why. Such as use a different shampoo and see how it goes, if you don't know then it's kinda hard.
A few suggestions.

Well I never had such problem, but my hair's turned in white, but that's about my job, as for your problem I think that's more about physicological than another thing, you must be under pression, maybe you're working too much, that's probably stress, I had a friend that could not pass his hand on his head that he got a lot of hair on his hand, but he was always on the go, and a lot of pressure he was getting really crazy till he resigned and started to live more relaxed...and that action solved many of his problems, but money...lololol

I did last winter I think I was shedding.LOL But is fine now,I stopped using the blow dryer on my hair completely and the hot curlers I dont know if it did anything but its fine now. Also it comes from nerves if your upset about something you can loose your hair because of it.

Not sure but hormones can play a role, it also common after having a baby. Nothing bad unless it leads to balding. If it is truly a problem then help is available through an appointment with a dermatologist, which is a physician trained in the diagnosis and treatment of hair loss. So with out more information this is the best answer that I can give you at this time.

You probably need to get a few things checked out first. As some physical conditions can cause hair loss. I am not going to reel off what physical conditions can cause hair loss because I do not want to add to your anxiety.
Go and see your doctor, get a physical and get some blood tests done. It may be stress, anxiety or the job you do as all these can lead to or cause hair loss.
Your talking to a fellow sufferer, its still thin now and its rather depressing but there are worse things I could suffer from so I count my blessings. Take care and I hope you can get this sorted soon.

I don't believe you are losing your hair because you are not taking care of it properly . It is normal to lose hair and different months of the year are worse then others and some find the problem worse but this is just a way to shed some of the hair that is no longer needed .

if you want to take good care of your hair, you must start having a healthy diet...what we eat is important for each part of our body and hair,too...eat a lot of vegetables, and fruit...try to use good products for your hair...I use each day a good balsam and once a week I give my hair a special treatment to let them be well nourished..it is a special cream that I live there for about 15-30 minutes..it is very good for hair...another little secret is this..I regularly use linen oil..it is wonderful for hair..it makes them shine and it gives them strength and nutrition...hope it helps..another thing...this one as a doctor..if you keep on losing your hair you have to control your thyroid gland. have a good day
