Can A Man Have 9 Lives? - This Guy Has Used 3 of his.

Either this guy has 9 lives or he is the luckiest person on earth. American Olympic wrestling champion Rulon Gardner was a passenger in a plane that crashed into a lake in Lake Powell, Utah, last Saturday. The plane was flying low and struck the water. All three men had to get out of the plane before it sank. The water temperature was 44% F. It took them an hour to swim to shore. They spent the night without fire or shelter. In 2002, Mr. Gardner became stranded while snowblowing in the Wyoming wilderness and lost one of his toes to frostbite. Then in 2004, he was struck by an automobile while riding on a motorcycle. I just saw him do an interview on CNN and he appears in good health. Either this guy is blessed with having 9 lives or he is the luckiest person I ever heard of. What do you think? Lloyd

I think he had a lot of luck. A lot and should not try it any more. (not that what happened with him was his purpose, but some measure of excessive precaution would be in order, in my opinion). Or he should try some lottery, at least it can't kill (I think).

I think he will reconsider before doing anything risky. Lloyd

The guy is in good shape and eats a good diet. That enables him to sustain himself in times of trouble. Living an active life he is bound to be in situations that can cause problems. Being hit also probably was not at a high rate of speed therefore upping the chance of mimimal injury. I admire the guy for being an example of living a good life of health and good diet.

Diet as being good would be balanced, fruits and vegetables. Junk not in excess if at all. Care taken as to protein and carbohydrate intake. Use of creatine that is in chicken to build muscles. Something we can all do. really.!! Pilot was probably to thank about the controlled as best he could ascent. Thanks for responding to me.

He is very lucky. The plane was traveling at 150 miles per hour and dropped to 2 miles per hour when it went down. Let us know more about his diet. We can all benefit from it. Thanks. Lloyd

man either he is really lucky or he prays a lot. God takes care of him no matter where he is and no matter how bad a condition he is in. And also might be he has a strong will to live. Man nice, i hope he stays fit. Really some people are just too lucky and blessed.

Boy, he really has survived some serious scrapes, hasn't he? Maybe it's not just cats who have nine lives, lol! It's amazing that he's gone through so much, including losing one of his toes to frostbite and getting hit by a car while on his motorbike. That's amazing, that he came through that last one okay. Wow. Thanks for sharing his story with us!

I guess people who have dangerous hobbies are going to find themselves in danger. I would not like to have any of these things happen to me. I can only think his time is not yet up. I'm not sure how long his luck will last, hopefully forever.

You are so right. His time wasn't up yet. I hope he finds a safer hobby. Maybe we can start suggesting other things for him to do. How about learning to play chess? lol Lloyd

I thought I had heard that he had been impaled by an arrow, but I wasn't sure about that story. If that is true, then he is the luckiest man on the planet. Wow. Lloyd

I just read that article. It said when he was in the 3 grade, he was impaled by in the abdomen while playing with a bow and arrow. The doctor said he just missed a vital organ. Lloyd

That's amazing, I hadn't heard about the plane crash. I remember him from the Olympics and hearing about his snowmobile accident. Can't remember if I heard about the motorcycle incident. Sounds like he's going to need all 9 of his lives. Or maybe he should stay away from fast=moving vehicles.

If I were a friend or relative of his, I'd suggest that he stay away from vehicles in general, including bicycles. lol Lloyd

That guy either is really lucky, has a lot of angels watching over him, or has the strongest will to survive than I have ever seen before. Wow! That is truly miraculous.

I heard a bit of his story the other day and think it's fantastic...How can someone be so lucky unless God has major plans for him.

Most people here think that God had some role in his survival. It might be a little more than luck at play here. Lloyd

It sounds like he has a inner strength and power that most of us aren't aware of. He is a figher. He said he swam on his back for a mile to reach the shore. I don't know if I could have survived it. I hope I would though. Lloyd

It could be God's way of telling us that no matter in whatever dangers you're faced with, if He wants to protect you, you'll be protected. Anyway, I hope this is not a conjured up tale.
