Have you ever wondered why men have nipples?

Well, have you? And why do they? Surely they don't actually need them, since they're never going to breastfeed, and that's what they are there for (no rudness on this thread please1). So why are men born with nipples? Sure, they'd look odd without them, but only becuase we're used to seeing them with nipples of course!
Well, maybe i should tell you the asnwer to this question that i've heard. Apparently, when a baby is being formed in the womb, it starts off for the first so many weeks as being a female foetus (all down to chromosomes and scientific stuff) and only after so many weeks does the foetus develope the male genes, but by then the nipples have apparently already started to form! So there you have it. Well at least that's the versionn i've heard anyway! Let me know if you're heard different or have a different theory.

Yep, that's pretty much why- We all start out the same early in our development, and so the genes that cause nipples to form are active in both men and women. They may not have much of a function in men, but evolution couldn't get rid of male nipples because their formation begins before the fetus differentiates into a male.
