I think it is the length of time in relationships that is important, not the number. The longer two people are together, the more issues they face and challenges to their relationship they weather. That is what people learn from. Fifteen short relationships that end for the same reasons do not count for anything. One relationship that teaches both people something meaningful, that is what is important.

but u know what, i know a lot of people who were together for almost 13 years as gf/bf but who are no longer together now...i think, it really depends, huh? i appreciate ur response, alanna_liadon...tnx

I am currently in my first serious relationship and so far everything is perfect, I have been with my husband for 8 years and we have been married 3 and half of those years and things are still going strong. So no its not always true that being involved in a lot of relationsships make you more sensable and mature, being in the relationship that i am in has made me grow as a person and i am very happy.

I only had one serious relationship before this one and it last 4 years. I,ve certainly gain maturity between both of my relationship and I grown up a lot. But I'm not sure you can be more mature if you have 4 relationship but it all last less then 1 year.

ya its true. when u come make more relationship. u come in contact with new people learn new things. the new one may be ur friend or boy friend but in both cases one thing is sure that ur going to learn something new. the situation u faces with new guy, time u spend with him. ur mind will grow up more n u become strong sensible n mature.
