When to start using a Jolly Jumper?

My baby is 5 months old. He loves to jump, he's even got the leg movements down to a science, but he can't quite sit up by himself yet. When he sits unaided he tends to grab his toes and lean forward, but it's not a floppy movement, I think he just likes his toes. How do you know when he's ready for the Jolly Jumper?

my answer would be never. i don't think they sell them any more in ontario canada. they are bad for babies legs. they get hair line fractures in their legs and theighs where the leg meets up with the hips because of the jumping movements and landing hard on the legs.
