Why do we weigh less in the morning...??`

i work out regularly in gym....usually i go in the morning times...and checks my weight now and then.....
but one day i had to go in evening...once i happened to check my weight..to my astonishment i weigh 4 pounds more...i approached my trainer and he said that u ll weigh less in morning...
is it true???or all my work outs are going in vain??

Becoz the food we eat will digest in the night and also due to 9-10 hrs faster at night we feel less weigh
