I have heard so many different methods of disciplining your cat. There is using a squirt bottle, making loud noises, yelling "Ouch" or "No", light spanks, secluding them into a room for short 'time outs', redirecting their energy to toys instead of yourself, ect. I have had the hardest time raising my cat. He is now about 14 months old now. He use to pee on me, but after I neutered him it was from every day to NEVER... He hasn't done such a thing in 4 months now. He's a good cat and I know he means well. He loves to be close to me. He really has a ton of energy though and he is a biter. I found little time outs, the squirt bottle, and redirecting his energy to toys to be the best for him. What else has worked for you cat owners?

Pretty much, a squirt bottle and loud noises are all I have tried. My cats have plenty of toys, so I never realy thought about redirecting there energy. It's rare for me to ever need to disipline my cats.
I hear that the timeout thing only leads to bordome. Then you have to deal with shredded stuff.
